Carla's Story
I am currently in the process of retiring from teaching to recuperate from surgery on a broken ankle. I may go back part-time as a retire/rehire; as time will tell. Right now I'm more concerned with bones mending correctly and my students having a regular teacher to prepare them for testing.
My husband, Tom and I live in the home at Smithland where I grew up. We remodeled it soon after we married and have plenty of room for the three children we have between us to visit....grandkids and all. I brought one daug...Expand for more
hter to our combined family and he brought one of each....so we have been blessed with five grandchildren.
Following retirement, I plan to do a little updating to the house. I may start giving art lessons on the side if I end up going back to work part-time and teach art only. If I have math, there will be no time. Otherwise I will do a little subbing to fill in the gap.
I especially have enjoyed reconnecting with many of you on here and Facebook. I find it very fulfilling to catch up on one another's lives.
